Work has Begun

Although Brandon has been working for Daifuku-Webb for almost a year now, he officially started on full time-benefit pay on Monday. Now only two days later he is already leaving on a three day business trip and then he will leave again on Sunday evening and then finally be back (for the foreseeable future) late Monday night. Brandon has been gone only 6 hours and I already bummed that I won't be able to see him tonight or tomorrow. As for me, I'm on the job hunt. I've already been turned down for one job but hopefully something will come up. No worries though.

End of School, Start of Summer

Spring semester finished for me last Thursday. I can't believe I got everything done! That last month went by so fast! Today is Brandon's last test and then on Friday he will graduate! We are so excited! We have 3 college graduates this year; Brandon, his sister Valerie, and her husband Aaron, On Friday evening after all the official graduation festivities are over my family, Brandon's family, and Aaron's family are all going to get together to celebrate. I'm going to make a peanut butter-chocolate cake that Brandon has been wanting me to make for over 2 months. I hope it is as good as it sounds. To finish off celebrating the end of school Brandon and I are going to go see "Avengers" on Saturday morning.

Brandon and I are still in the hunt for a house. In finding a new home we will begin a new chapter of our lives where we can hopefully start to really live our own life and eventually start a family. This summer is going to be all about finding a home and making it our own. Hopefully we will find our future home this week! Wish us luck!

Appreciated

Last Saturday Brandon and I went to his parents for a pre-Easter dinner. I was super excited because I got to make a salad to bring for dinner. I think it's safe to say that my salad was a success! I think the highlight of my night happened when I was doing the dishes with Colleen (Brandon's mom). As she was washing and I was drying she, out of the blue, told me how much she enjoyed doing the dishes with me and she appreciated my help. I was so surprised. I know it was really simple and not that big of a deal, but it made me happy to know that she valued me as an individual and part of the family.

April 2012

I haven't written for a while and I found a window of time to do it so here goes! The Semester is winding down and although I still have quite a bit to do I can see the end is near and I've actually stopped stressing and resigned myself to lettting whatever happens happen.
Brandon and I have been house crazy for the past few months and now we are actually starting the process of buying a house. On Thursday we are going to meet with our realtor so she can know what we like and start "probing" for houses. It'll be nice to have her doing that, then I won't have an excuse to distract myself from my homework. I'm super excited to actully go to the houses and look around!
Brandon's sister, Val, is going to have a baby in October! We are so excited for her! I think it will be good for her with them moving and all. The baby will keep her occupied and hopefully help her adjust to moving away. Although it could make her miss family even more. For her sake I hope its the later.
Brandon had his birthday on March 23. He got lots of clothes from my mom. He has all he needs to look like a proffesional! Sydney also had her Birthday. Hers was over conference weekend so the whole family went up to Bear Lake to watch and be with her. She is 20 now! It's a little sad that we're not teenagers anymore.
Tomorrow Brandon and I will have been married for 10 months! Its weird how fast time flies. Sometimes it feels like we've been married for forever. Other times I feel like I just woke up and found some guy laying in my bed and have no idea how he got there. We've both had struggles adjusting but overall I can truly say that I'm so happy and blessed to be married to Brandon. He is my rock!

June Dreams

This morning I was just thinking how when we look back on our lives we realize that many of our childhood dreams have come true.

One that I just thought of this morning was this:

As a little girl I loved the movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Every time the song "June Bride" came on I always wished I could be a June bride; coincidentally that silly childhood dream came true! Even though it was so simple and a little superfluous, it flirted with my childhood fantasy and furthered belief that anything is possible.

For all those who have your own little June Dreams, know that they can come true. Especially when you aren't looking!

Spring Break?

Sometimes I don't understand why Spring Break has more homework than any other normal week.
It doesn't really make for a Spring Break. But there are some great benefits!
I don't have to get up early.
Hopefully I will get Bento.
and most importantly. . . .
Brandon will be home early everyday.
